New Jersey families brought together through adoption were celebrated in Elizabeth Friday for National Adoption Day.
The day encourages adoption through the foster care system.
Robin Watson has adopted seven children. Her youngest, Danny, was left at Saint Peter's Hospital.
"I looked at him and he grabbed my finger and I told him, 'You're coming home with me,'" Watson says.
Robin Watson, of Elizabeth, also adopted Ciara Watson when she was 14.
Ciara says she is "really grateful for it because not a lot of kids my age get adopted because parents usually want to get the small kids."
According to the organizations that created National Adoption Day, more than 125,000 foster children in the United States are looking for a family.
There were adoption day events in about 400 cities across the country.
