The helicopter pilot killed in Saturday's mid-air collision with a plane over the Hudson River called Ocean County home prior to his death.

Liberty Helicopter pilot Jeremy Clarke, 33, lived in the Lanoka Harbor section of Lacey Township with his fiancée. Clarke was an experienced pilot with 3,100 hours of flight experience, according to Liberty. He was originally from New Zealand and had recently gained American citizenship.

Clarke's body has been recovered from the Hudson River.
