Dozens of animals rescued from Hurricane Ida's path arrive in Hudson Valley
A total of 77 cats and dogs arrived Monday at the Pets Alive shelter in Middletown from Southern shelters that have been evacuated because of Hurricane Ida.

292ds agoDozens of animals can now call the Hudson Valley home after being rescued from Hurricane Ida's path.
A total of 77 cats and dogs arrived Monday at the Pets Alive shelter in Middletown from Southern shelters that have been evacuated because of Hurricane Ida.
Staff members from Pets Alive worked around the clock with multiple rescue partners to save as many shelter animals' lives as possible.
Twenty-six animals will call Pets Alive home until they are adopted.
The Middletown rescue is acting as a central hub as the remaining furry friends head off to other organizations, like Chemung County's SPCA in Elmira.
