It's a hot and muggy day today with highs in the mid to upper 80s. There will be plenty of sunshine for both days with fair clouds for now.

Thunderstorms develop on Saturday after 3 p.m. and continue through the overnight hours. Severe weather is likely with some of these storms as the blow across the state.

These storms eventually weaken through the night, but there will be a continuation of downpours and rain. The initial bursts of the storm come with the damaging gusts.

Sunday will feature a slow improvement with many clouds lingering to start and even some showers. The afternoon looks better with sunshine and mild temperatures in the mid-70s.
