Hot and humid again today, scattered thunderstorm chances later this afternoon

It’s a quiet start as you head out the door, but the heat is sticking around. Temperatures will climb to around 90° this afternoon, and with the humidity hanging on, it’ll feel more like the low to mid 90s in some spots.
Keep an eye on the sky later today scattered storms are expected to pop up after 1 p.m. A few of these could be strong or even severe, so stay weather-aware.
We’re not done yet another round of showers and storms is on tap for Thursday, with the potential again for isolated strong to severe storms.
Looking ahead to the weekend: It’s shaping up to be dry, sunny, and very warm, with highs in the mid to upper 80s. Perfect for outdoor plans!
Tropical Storm Erin continues to strengthen out in the Atlantic. By this weekend, Erin could become the first major hurricane of the Atlantic season. We’ll be keeping a close eye on it, stay tuned for updates!
