Holmdel man pleads guilty in nationwide catalytic converter theft ring

Federal prosecutors in Oklahoma said 41-year-old Navin Khanna pleaded guilty to making over $600 million by buying and selling stolen catalytic converters across several states.

A man from Holmdel is facing more than 17 years in prison after admitting to running a nationwide catalytic converter theft ring.
Federal prosecutors in Oklahoma said 41-year-old Navin Khanna pleaded guilty to making over $600 million by buying and selling stolen catalytic converters across several states.
FBI agents raided his home and auto shop in Freehold three years ago and found more than 200 pallets of converters.
Khanna was forced to forfeit 11 luxury vehicles, gold bars and nearly $4 million in cash.
More than a dozen others are also facing charges.
He will now head to California to face similar charges.
