New Jersey Transit is banning all beverages on its trains ahead of Hoboken’s annual SantaCon celebration.
Police Chief Ken Ferrante says 100 officers will be out on the streets Saturday.
Ferrante expects this year to be less rowdy, as fewer bars say they are participating.
Seventeen people were arrested for various offenses last year.
Fifty-five were taken to hospitals.
The event runs from 10 a.m. run until 5 p.m.
