Hoboken?s west side was hit hard by flood damage from the nor?easter, and many residents say the city isn?t doing much to fix the flooding problems.
Many residents couldn?t get out of their homes Monday due to the rising floodwaters. Tow trucks were out on the streets helping to move out cars submerged in water.
Some residents say the area always gets flooded when big storms come around. They add with new construction in the area, the problems aren?t getting resolved.
Hoboken?s mayor says the city is working on the flood issues. He says the city has a $45 million infrastructure redevelopment plan, which includes a new system that can pump floodwater out.
