Officials in Hoboken have approved a list of resolutions that would help mitigate flooding and create more green space in the city.
The resolutions pave the way for a new residential building, including a park, plaza, public gym, open green space and affordable housing units. Officials say a water retention bin under the lot will help strengthen the city's flood resiliency efforts.
Some are opposed to the move saying there's already too much development in the city.
Mayor Dawn Zimmer and many business owners support the changes, arguing that the area has been long due to development.
