Starting Monday, Hoboken officials will replace 7,000 feet of water mains.

It's happening at eight locations around town.

First on the list is Monroe Street between Eighth and 11th streets.

The project also includes making pathways safer for pedestrians, flood mitigation and repaving some roads.

The work is expected to be done by the spring.
