Some roads along the Jersey Shore had to be closed when the high tide and stormy weather produced some coastal flooding.
Areas near the Barnegat Bay - including Seaside, Harvey Cedars and Long Beach Island - had detours because about 1 foot of water came up into the area.
A storm system east of New Jersey is churning up the ocean and will bring some periods of rain this weekend.
The water was expected to recede later Thursday night. But the tides are expected to bring more flooding Friday night and Friday afternoon.
