Governor Jon Corzine?s (D-NJ) State of the State address Tuesday focused on property taxes in the Garden State. But Corzine is not the only one concerned about the high property taxes.
Many New Jersey residents are wondering if and when lawmakers will do something about the high taxes. Residents feel they keep shelling out money but nothing is being done to reduce the high tax rates.
Some residents say they are losing faith in the government when it comes to high property taxes. United Van Lines, a moving company, reported 61 percent of its customers in New Jersey left the state last year.
Meanwhile, New Jersey legislators have been trying for six months to create measures to cut taxes. However, nothing has been pushed through the Legislature.
