News 12 Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Dave Curren says feels-like temperatures Wednesday will be over 100 with the chance for scattered thunderstorms later in the day.
NWS Alerts: Excessive Heat Warnings and Advisories. Dense Fog Advisory for the coast
Tonight: Muggy and buggy with lows in the upper 70
Wednesday: Hazy sunshine and still sweaty. Highs in the 90s feels like 100- to 105. A chance for scattered thundershowers moves in later in the day. Doesn't really break the heat and when it rains it feels even more tropical outside.
Wednesday night into Thursday a.m.: A line of steadier rain moves in along a nearly stationary system. On and off rain and storms expected. Showers will be done with the area for the most part by lunchtime and the sun returns to warm things back up to the low 90s.
Friday: Steadier rain moves in off the ocean. This should allow the temps to drop back below 90, if only briefly.
The Weekend: Saturday features on and off showers. Temps near 90. Sunday again will be the "drier" (storm free) day. But vicious heat begins to load up again and next week could be quite HOT around here yet again
