Dangerous heat is
taking center stage the next few days, and News 12 New Jersey's Tony
Caputo was in Bradley Beach today talking to people cooling off
at the Jersey Shore.
In Bradley Beach, people were
walking and even running the boardwalk, but for many, the earlier -- the
better.
“I come down early because I live
here, spend a few hours, go home during lunch when it’s super-hot and then I go
back around 3, 4 o’clock,” says Brent Prendergast, of Bradley Beach.
There’s also people who actually
look forward to the heat -- thriving in it and even exercising in it.
“There are hardcore
runners that run no matter what,” says Tony Bryson, of Lakewood. “Heat, snow,
rain, in shorts, unless it’s in the wintertime, but there are hardcore
runners. I’m not one of them. To me, you are a lot smarter to get out here and
beat the heat, and that’s what I was trying to do.”
