New Jersey health officials have issued another warning about possible measles exposure in two counties.

Officials say that a New York City resident with a confirmed case of the measles visited two locations in April: The Sky Zone in South Plainfield on April 22 between the hours of 12 p.m. and 5 p.m. and River 978 Banquet Hall in Lakewood on April 23 between the hours of 6 p.m. and 1 a.m.

The Health Department recommends that anyone who visited the locations during those timeframes contact their health care providers to discuss potential exposure risks.

Symptoms of the measles include rash, high fever, cough, runny nose and red, watery eyes. It can cause serious complications such as pneumonia and the swelling of the brain. Symptoms of this particular case could show up as late as May 14.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says that cases of the measles in the United States have reached their highest peak in 25 years – with over 667 cases reported this year.
