Parts of the city of Paterson were transformed into a film set Wednesday for the filming of HBO’s “The Plot Against America.”

“The Plot Against America,” is a miniseries based on the novel of the same name. It is about an alternate history of America told through the eyes of a working-class Jewish family living in Newark.

Several Paterson streets were closed Wednesday for the film shoot. Classic cars were brought in to the area to complete the scene.

This is one of several film projects that have been taking place in Paterson recently. Filming also took place for Steven Spielberg’s “West Side Story” remake and for “The Many Saints of Newark,” a prequel to the HBO series “The Sopranos.”
