Police say a brazen thief tailed a frail elderly woman while shopping in Hazlet before snatching her wallet.

Surveillance video shows the suspect following an 87-year-old woman through the Hazlet K-Mart. The footage then shows him snatch the bag when the lady turns to grab something off a shelf. He then reached in to grab her wallet, replaced the bag and ran off.

Hazlet police want anyone who recognizes the suspect in the video to contact them immediately. A similar incident occurred recently to another senior at a local ShopRite, and police believe they may be linked.
