Hawthorne is finally getting a grocery store. 

Lidl will be the first food store to open in the borough since 1982.  

With 22 locations across New Jersey, the German grocer chain is expanding across the U.S. 

The mayor says, its addition to Hawthorne is just one step closer to redeveloping the first ward into a commercial hub.
