Xtava is voluntarily recalling more than 200,000 Allure and Allure Pro 2200W ionic ceramic hair dryers because the power cords can overheat and catch fire.
So far, 193 incidents have been reported, ranging from power cords overheating, exploding, melting or catching fire.
Twenty percent of those incidents resulted in injuries, including reports of burns and minor electrical shocks.
The products were sold online through Amazon, eBay, and Walmart between Oct.2014 through Aug. 2018.
Consumers should stop using the hair dryers and contact the company for a free replacement hair dryer.
