There is a RIP CURRENT STATEMENT for the Jersey coastline for today as dangerous rip currents are expected.
FORECAST:
It remains mostly cloudy today across New Jersey with rain showers in the southern half of the state, especially south of I-195 and south of Toms River where the wind will be strongest. The rain showers will be on and off and gusts at the coast will be strong, near 30 mph through this afternoon.
Northern New Jersey won't experience much of an issue other than breezy conditions and a mostly cloudy sky with limited breaks of sun. It won't be terrible in the northern half of the state, but it slowly deteriorates into the overnight and tomorrow.
Tomorrow's weather will be mostly cl
oudy with periods of on and of showers statewide. It will be breezy with gusts near 15-25 mph.
Rain showers taper overnight into Thursday with a rapid improvement on Thursday morning.
The sun shines through Thursday midday with highs near 80 degrees. There will be some beautiful weather to finish the week for Thursday and Friday.
One last hurrah of summer! Highs reach near 85 degrees on Friday with a sharp cool down for Saturday and Sunday and fresh but fair weather settles into New Jersey for the weekend.
