A family’s 6-month-old guinea pig has a new lease on life after being saved from a drainage pipe by the Katonah Fire Department.

“Teddy” was playing outside when he found himself in the tough spot.

“Using some clever tricks of the trade and some leftover lettuce, we were able to successfully rescue Teddy and place him back in the loving arms of his family (and his nearly identical brother Misty),” the Katonah Fire Department said.
