The cold and stormy weather is making it difficult for some farms to get their season started, including John Gasko & Son Farm in Monroe Township.
Between the snowstorm last month, and the wind Wednesday night, they say they had to replace four greenhouses.
Inside the houses, which weren't damaged, the flowers and plants are only about half the size they should be for this time of year, and to keep the plants warm at night, they have to boost up their propane usage, another unexpected cost from the chilly spring.
According to Johnny Gasko, there have been far too few sunny days, stunting the growth of the plants, delaying the season by several weeks.
Gasko says tree buds are also running behind, so if you're hoping to see green leaves pop out, you'll have to wait a few extra weeks.
