Six Flags Great Adventure was temporarily without power Wednesday afternoon after strong storms passed through New Jersey.
The power at the amusement park in Jackson Township was out for about a half-hour. Park officials say that they closed all of the rides before the weather hit, so no guests were trapped on any of the rides while the power was out.
The storms brought strong winds, hail, heavy rain and thunder and lightning.
Across New Jersey, tens of thousands of people were without power for a time as the storms knocked down trees and powerlines.
About 43,000 people were without power at one point, but nearly all those customers were expected to have their service restored this evening.
The hardest hit area was northern New Jersey, where nearly 25,000 customers lost power.
