A state grand jury has voted not to criminally charge a West New York police officer with a deadly shooting in 2022.
The shooting took place on June 3, 2022. Police body camera video shows that seconds after officers responded to a domestic dispute, Kevin Colindres is seen firing a gun through the front door.
One of the officers was shot in the back and survived.
Colindres is seen about 15 minutes later coming out of another house holding two guns. He is then seen shooting at officers for a second time. An officer fired back, killing Colindres.
