Grand jury clears Marlboro police sergeant for death of Freehold man

A state grand jury has voted not to file criminal charges against a Marlboro police sergeant in the death of a Freehold man who was struck and killed by a stolen vehicle during a police pursuit.
Arturo Luna was killed on Nov. 9, 2022.
Officials say that Sgt. Gregory Arrone was chasing the stolen car but was not involved in the deadly crash.
The driver of the stolen car, Samuel Villar, was sentenced to 12 years in prison on multiple charges.
