Gov. Phil Murphy signed landmark legislation on Wednesday to support towns in meeting their affordable housing obligations.
This will help develop new systems for municipalities, completely replacing the current court process and establishing a streamlined framework for affordable housing under the Mount Laurel doctrine.
The process will replace the role previously played by the Council of Affordable Housing, which has been defunct for over a decade.
