Gov. Phil Murphy and Rep. Mikie Sherrill on Monday announced new funding to make New Jersey more bike-friendly.
Officials say the $24 million investment will encourage people to make the choice to bike instead of drive.
“From the creation of new bike paths, connecting residents to local amenities to widening existing bicycle routes to better promote two-way cycle traffic,” said Murphy. “This program focuses on making it safer to choose commuting on two wheels instead of four.”
Sherrill will be representing Dover in Congress starting in January. Her district was redrawn and now includes that Morris County town.
