A drowning was
avoided in Bayonne, thanks to good Samaritans.
The incident happened shortly
before 4 p.m. Sunday at the 16th Street city pool.
A 9-year-old boy nearly
drowned after he went into the deep end of the pool.
One swimmer pulled
the boy out of the water, while another person performed CPR. They were
able to revive the boy.
An ambulance took
the 9-year-old to Bayonne Hospital, but the police captain says it was just out
of precaution.
