There is an Air Quality Alert in effect for parts of New Jersey as temperatures approach 90 degrees with increased humidity levels. This degrades the air quality making it poor for sensitive groups of people.
FORECAST:
Another warm and very nice day is expected today. High temperatures reach the upper 80s in most places where it hits 90 in select few areas like Mercer County. Wildfire haze still dilutes the blue sky, masking the sun.
Not only are temperatures slightly warmer than Tuesday, but there is added humidity. The air is becoming stagnant since it's so stable, thus air quality concerns are present for those sensitive groups of people with existing respiratory issues due to the heat and humidity.
An Air Quality Alert is in effect until 11 p.m. this evening.
We repeat the same pattern tomorrow where it can be slightly hotter. A spot thundershower in northern New Jersey is possible.
Scattered thunderstorms are likely again on Friday in northern New Jersey.
Scattered thunderstorms are expected statewide on Saturday after a pleasant morning.
Sunday looks fair with sun and clouds.
