New Jersey supporters of the final two Democratic presidential candidates, Sen. Hillary Clinton (D-N.Y.) and Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.), spent Thursday trying to garner support for their respective contenders.
Members of NJ for Hillary cheered on their candidate in the last debate before Super Tuesday over burgers at an Edison diner. "Coming here was good because it's centralized,? Gerald Reiner said. ?We can get people together and really talk about things after the responses."
Clinton supporters also said they hoped to attract on-the-fence voters at the diner for a bite to eat.
Obama fans held an event Thursday to help rally the youth vote at Rutgers University. Rutgers students as well as high school students attended. Former New Jersey Senator Bill Bradley was in attendance and pointed out how important the youth vote has been for Obama?s campaign thus far.
