Boardwalk games, mini golf courses and batting cages have reopened on Jenkinson's Boardwalk in Point Pleasant Beach.
The aquarium, arcades and amusement park rides are still closed.
Outdoor dining on the boardwalk will open Monday, including Jenkinson's Boardwalk Grill and the Inlet Tiki deck.
Nonessential stores along with child care services will also be allowed to open with limited customers.
Mayor Paul Kanitra says many owners of businesses and restaurants that were hit hard by the coronavirus shutdown are looking forward to reopening as they approach their busiest months of July and August.
"It's very important for us to be fully operational by then," Kanitra says. "I think hopefully we'll see the governor allow some sort of limited indoor seating by the Fourth of July weekend because that's crucial to us. A lot of our businesses in town are seasonal."
The boardwalk reopened less than a month ago and most businesses have only been able to offer curbside services.
