Funeral services were held Saturday for the Hamilton mother who was killed in a house collapse last month.
Mourners gathered at St. Phillips Baptist Church in Hamilton Township to remember Tika Justice. The 38-year-old mother of two was killed when her home collapsed on July 23.
Officials say Justice saved the life of her 16-year-old daughter by using her body to shield her from the falling debris.
Officials said the house collapsed due to nearly a century of water damage.
The community has rallied around Justice’s daughters, raising more than $15,000 and collecting nearly 200 bags of clothing and household goods for them.
Those interested in making a donation are asked to contact the office at St. Philips Baptist Church in Hamilton Township.
