Funeral for slain Broadway star from Edison set for Wednesday

A funeral is set for Wednesday for Imani Dia Smith, of Edison – a Broadway star stabbed to death last weekend.

Jordan Jackson-Small, 35, was arrested, accused of stabbing the star and was charged with murder. Family members say he was the victim’s boyfriend.

Smith was 26 years old and she played Nala in the Lion King. According to a GoFundMe campaign she leaves behind a 3-year-old son.

Visitation starts on Wednesday from 9 a.m.-11 a.m. Funeral services begin at 11 a.m. in Union at Union Chapel Church.
