Freeze watch in effect for parts of the state overnight; sunny and dry into the weekend

There is a freeze watch overnight for parts of northwestern New Jersey through Wednesday morning.
The skies will be clear and the winds won't be as gusty, so temperatures will have a better chance of being even colder on Wednesday morning. Right now only Sussex, Warren, Morris and western Passaic are in this freeze watch. Neighborhoods west of Route 9 in southern New Jersey and the Pine Barrens should also take cold weather precautions, especially if the winds lessen enough. Lows could easily drop to 32 or colder.
Otherwise – it’s all about the sunshine. Fair weather will be anchored over the Ohio Valley steering clouds and rain away from New Jersey. It's been 16 days since our last measurable rain. It looks like we will probably go another 10 days before the threat of rain is again seen in New Jersey. (Obviously, not great for our crops or preparing for next season.)
OVERNIGHT: Mostly clear skies with lows around 44 degrees.
WEDNESDAY: Temperatures start off in the 30s and then warm into the upper-50s and low-60s by the afternoon. Mostly sunny skies with a few afternoon clouds. Clear overnight with temps cooling into the 40s.
THURSDAY: Mainly sunny with daytime highs in the low-60s. Clear skies remain overnight with lows around 47.
FRIDAY: Mostly sunny skies. Highs in the upper-60s. Clear overnight with lows in the upper-40s.
WEEKEND: Mainly sunny with temperatures warming into the low- to mid-70s.
