A Franklin Borough woman is still missing five days after she was last seen, and her family is fearing the worst.
Tammy Kim was last seen Thursday, Sept. 1 at the Starbucks on Route 23 in Franklin Borough. Her father had dropped her off and was supposed to pick her up from there a few hours later.
Kim's mother says that her daughter suffers from several health issues and recently changed medication. The mother, who did not want to be identified, says she fears that Kim fell or collapsed in the nearby wooded area after becoming disoriented from the medicine.
Franklin Borough police, along with New Jersey state police, were out conducting an aerial search in the area Kim was last seen Tuesday.
Surveillance video showed her at multiple businesses near the Starbucks, including a laundromat. Her cellphone was found at a vacant corporate office building a few miles away on Munsonhurst Road and her laptop was found at a store next door.
"If God thought [my daughter] did everything in her life and he's satisfied that she doesn't have to stay on earth anymore, it's his will," Kim's mother said. "I rather have her keep doing good things instead of me continuing her legacy because she's way more qualified than me."
Kim is a 5-foot-5 Asian woman. She weighs 160 pounds and may be carrying a blue Felix the Cat purse.
Anyone who might have information about Kim's disappearance should call Franklin Borough police at 973-827-7700.
