Four national teams will base their training operations in New Jersey during the 2026 FIFA World Cup, the New York New Jersey Host Committee announced.

Brazil, Haiti, Morocco and Senegal have selected team base camp locations across the state, making New Jersey one of the most chosen host areas in North America, according to the committee.

"We are thrilled that Brazil, Haiti, Morocco, and Senegal have decided to call the Garden State home, bringing the World Cup directly to communities across our state and driving economic activity throughout the region," said Gov. Mikie Sherrill.

Brazil will train at Columbia Park Training Center in Morris Township. Haiti will be based at Stockton University in Galloway. Morocco will train at The Pingry School in Basking Ridge, and Senegal will be based at Rutgers University in Piscataway.

The committee says the camps are expected to bring tourism, hotel stays, local business activity and community engagement beyond matchdays.

"As one of the most diverse regions in the world, these teams will be welcomed to communities that already know and celebrate them, creating an atmosphere of pride and connection throughout the tournament," said Alex Lasry, CEO of the New York New Jersey Host Committee.

Brazil is scheduled to play Morocco at the temporarily renamed New York New Jersey Stadium in East Rutherford on June 13. Senegal is scheduled to play France there on June 16 and Norway on June 22.

New Jersey will host eight World Cup matches, including the final.
