Former police officer sentenced to 6 years for fatal drunk driving crash

A former police officer has been sentenced to six years in prison for a drunk driving incident that resulted in the death of 19-year-old Jacob Davis.
The tragic crash occurred last May on Howard Boulevard when Gerald Veneziano, driving under the influence and speeding at approximately 90 mph, collided with Davis's vehicle.
Davis was pronounced dead at the scene. Following the crash, authorities discovered numerous empty alcohol containers near Veneziano's truck.
