The former Passaic Housing Authority chairman accused of dealing drugs has rejected a plea deal.
Police raided Darrien Allan's apartment last year and allegedly found cocaine and an unregistered gun inside.
Allan was offered a plea deal with six years in prison before parole, but he rejected it.
Passaic Housing Police Director Jeff Gorley released a statement that says, "The men and women here along with our partners investigate any tip or allegations regarding our communities and will prosecute to the fullest extent whether it be a resident, employee, or contractor."
Allan is scheduled to return to court in November.
