One organization is asking Jersey City residents to give to those who are less fortunate.
The organization, Food Not Bombs, hosted an event Sunday in Journal Square to gather food and winter clothing for the homeless.
The event was at the 9/11 Memorial Fountain and people were encouraged to bring food, candles, clothing and hygiene products.
Organizers said the event was also a symbolic message of peace in the wake of the terror attacks in Paris, France.
