A Florida police officer who was shot on duty has been identified as a North Jersey native.
Fort Myers Officer Adam Jobbers-Miller was responding to a call at a gas station Saturday night when a gunman opened fire.
The 29-year-old underwent emergency surgery and was last listed in critical, but stable condition.
The suspect was also injured and taken into custody. It's not clear yet what led to the gunfire.
Jobbers-Miller grew up in Wayne in Passaic County. He joined the Fort Myers force in 2015.
