Firefighters rescue woman stuck inside clothing donation bin for over 2 days
Firefighters in Passaic County rescued a Paterson woman who had apparently been trapped inside a clothing donation bin for 2 ½ days.
Paterson police were called to the 200 block of Broadway around 11:30 a.m. Monday after someone heard the 38-year-old woman yelling for help and called 911.
Firefighters used a spreader to open the padlocked clothing bin and removed the woman. She was transported to a hospital for treatment. The extent of her injuries was not immediately released.
Police say it's unclear how the woman, who is believed to be homeless, got inside the box in the first place. But they say that this is the third time in two years she's been rescued from the clothing bin.
