The new year is getting off to a sad start for some people in East Orange as a four-alarm fire tore through their homes.
The fire broke out around 7 p.m. Sunday at a building on Main Street that is home to a mix of apartments and businesses. Three firefighters along with one resident were taken to nearby hospitals. All are in stable condition.
There is still no word on what caused the fire or how many families in the building are now without a home.
