A four-alarm building fire on Vosseller Avenue in Bound Brook has impacted two structures, with most of the damage between the two buildings.
News 12 has been told one of the buildings is on the verge of collapsing.
It is unclear at this time if there have been any injuries.
Some residents have been displaced.
LeMonte Annex Elementary and Lafayette Elementary were dismissed early, according to parents.
Firefighters are asking residents to avoid the area as crews work at the scene.
