Fire destroys Bloomingdale home and forces evacuations
Police say the residence was fully engulfed in flames when officers arrived. No occupants were inside at the time of the fire.

A house fire destroyed a home on West Shore Drive in Bloomingdale late Thursday.
Police say the residence was fully engulfed in flames when officers arrived. No occupants were inside at the time of the fire.
Nearby homes were evacuated as a precaution. The Bloomingdale Fire Department responded with help from Wanaque, Pompton Lakes, Skyline Lake and Ringwood fire departments.
Officials say two firefighters were treated for smoke inhalation by Wanaque and Pompton Lakes first aid squads.
The fire was extinguished, and the scene turned over to the Bloomingdale Fire Marshal’s Office for investigation.
