A fire damaged a home in Bloomfield on Monday afternoon. Officials say it happened around 2:30 p.m. on Pitt Street.
Officials say the fire began to spread throughout the home by the time firefighters arrived. Assistance was required from multiple nearby fire departments.
Crews were able to extinguish the fire before it spread to nearby homes. No injuries were reported.
Officials say that while crews were battling the house fire, Bloomfield Engine 1 was also putting out a vehicle fire on the Garden State Parkway near Exit 149.
