A fire broke out Monday at the Holiday Inn in Carteret, according to video from the scene.

The video showed windows at the hotel blown out as emergency crews responded.

One guest said they were shaken after the fire alarm woke them and their children.

"They woke us up around 8:40 [a.m.] around there and there was a fire on the second floor," said Carlos Morel.

"There was already like four trucks and like a good five to six police cars... just a little shaken cause I have my kids with me and stuff."

The cause of the fire is unclear.
