A local fire company rescued a lost dog from the Hudson River.
Officials say that someone heard barking from under a pier near the river in Edgewater.
Members of the Edgewater Fire Company pulled the dog out of the water.
It is believed that the dog is named Bear and that its owners live in Manhattan.
It appears the dog swam 1 mile from New York to New Jersey.
