7h agoA fire broke out on the Atlantic City Boardwalk Wednesday afternoon in front of the Resorts Casino Hotel.
Smoke was spotted coming from the area around 3:45 p.m. Officials say the fire spread to the casino's exterior wall and part of the sign above the boardwalk entrance.
Some smoke got into the building, prompting an evacuation of the businesses located near the entrance. The casino floor remained open.
There were no reports of any injuries. The cause of the fire was not immediately known.
