Authorities say that seven first responders were hospitalized during a 4-alarm fire at a Claremont apartment building.
They say that three firefighters were hospitalized, along with four police officers who were treated for smoke inhalation. Two people on the scene were also injured but refused medical attention.
The fire started around 3 p.m. Friday at 1520 Sheridan Ave.
The fire occurred on the roof of the six-story building, impacting two apartments on the top floor.
The fire took around two hours to be contained.
The cause of the fire was not immediately known.
