A father has admitted he killed his 3‑month‑old baby in Lakewood, officials said.

Ruben Santiago, 36, pleaded guilty to aggravated manslaughter. A murder charge is pending against the child’s mother, Caitlin Gibson.

Both have been held in the Ocean County Jail since the child’s death in May.

Santiago could face up to 25 years when he is sentenced in March.
